Renters in AOTB:
The Community wishes to expand coverage of its newsletter and directory to families renting in Arundel-on-the-Bay. Since we do not have a complete list of renters, we're asking your help in identifying those renter residents. Please write our Secretary, Pamela Duncan, with the name(s) of the principal renter(s), street address and, if available, email address and telephone number. Thank you!

PRETTifying our Place
We may not quite be at the beautiful stage, yet but we’re workin’ on it--the neighborhood that is. You may have noticed some slow but gradual prettification of the beach area. New plants, shrubs, and grasses have been emplaced, and we’ve also removed the old braziers and spread several tons of sand along the bulkhead--all credited to our landscaping maven, Roy Karten. Roy has plans for some additional plantings at our portal, around our playground, near our pier, along our new Cedar Avenue path, and still more at the beach. This stuff doesn’t come cheap, but if we do it gradually, we’ll see a beautification process mature over time. Tell us, better still tell Roy, what you think!
We also have another concerned neighbor--Piermeister Andy Grannell--to thank for current plans to get three new recycle bins and three new dog waste-bag stations installed at our beach, playground, and of course our pier. Kindly neighbors--Joe Morrison and Roxanne Veal--have volunteered to allow us to place the recyclables next to their properties on appropriate days if our recycle guys cannot pick up on site (back-up plans are good things). And please remember: recyclables are just that, not your drippy ice cream cone or half-eaten fat-burger.
Finally, for the dog-lovers amongst us, the bag dispensing stations are for your (and our) convenience to allow you to pick up after Fido rather than leave it where it was laid. So please take it home and dispose of it properly; the bags shouldn’t be tossed in the new bins (or decorate a tree). You wouldn’t want to have to sort this stuff out along with the pop bottles and beer cans, so why subject our intrepid recycle guys (who actually do a pretty spiffy job) to this terribly un-cool task. When you’re blessed with a neighborhood as naturally beautiful as ours, it’s the least we can do to help it along.
