Wine Tasting & Live Jazz on the Beach
Sunday, June 6 - AOTB Adults-Only Party
3 - 7 p.m.

The AOTB Property Owners Association is throwing another great party on the community beach this Sunday. Bay Ridge Wine and Spirits is again offering Wine Tasting at no charge to adult community members. Their wine experts will guide party-goers through some of the best wines from California, Europe, and South America.

Wine is also available for purchase by the full glass and by the bottle.

The Jim Ballard Jazz Quartet will be making music all afternoon for your listening and dancing pleasure. Ballard has performed with the Ink Spots, locally at Middleton's Tavern and was even featured during the Obama inaugural. Jim Ballard performs vocals with a group consisting of saxophone, bass, piano, and drums. Contact Marc Apter with your song requests.

Every family is asked to bring a dish to be shared, based on the first letter of their last name. Names starting with A through I should bring hors d'oeuvres; names starting from J through Q should offer a main course; those with names from R through Z, please contribute a dessert.

Each family will be charged $5 for ice, glasses, plates etc. at the event.

There will be a contest for the best ethnic food brought as hors d'oeuvres, main course, and dessert. The winner in each category will receive a $50 gift card.

The Community will provide a porta potty, tables and some chairs but you are encouraged to bring your own folding chairs. We will have some tents for shade and protection from showers. There is no rain day planned. The party goes on rain or shine. Please RSVP to mlapter@smcm.edu by May 24th so we may plan accurately for the size crowd to expect.

Most importantly if you are a party person and would like to help plan games like dance contests, volley ball tournaments with teams based on the street you live on, or water balloon toss with real prizes for the winning teams, contact Marc Apter, Social Committee Chair, 301- 904-3690 or mlapter@smcm.edu.

The wine and Jazz party is an adults only event. We will also have a family picnic on Saturday, August 28th on the beach from 3-7 pm.
Updated Info on Pet Waste Stations

Please visit our website to see the location of all the pet waste station locations on the Arundel on the Bay/Oyster Harbor peninsula.

Remember to pick up after your dog both in your own yards and while on walks where you can use these convenient pet waste stations. Picking up your pet's waste helps keep our water clean.  Pet waste is a pollutant that contains bacteria which damages the Chesapeake Bay's waters. Rainwater will carry these pollutants to the Bay.

Removal of pet waste is required by Anne Arundel County Law, Article 12 Section 4-909, with fines up to $500; AND you NEVER know when the poop police are watching and taking note!
