LIVING HISTORY - BILL KEYES

bill keyesNot many of us can claim to have met living history, but here's a unique opportunity to do just that in the form of AOTB's own Bill Keyes. This amazing gent was at the Bannker-Douglass Museum in downtown Annapolis last Saturday signing his new book, William S. Keyes: Keyes to a Long Life. If you misssed that, you can still benefit from Mr. Keyes' stories and artwork right here in the neighborhood.

His book is an amazing compilation of memoirs, put together by his dear friend, Fern Underdue. It underscores the life of a man who has spent a lifetime in service to his country, community, and friends. Read about his adventures fighting with General Patton in Europe, as a DC cop and restauranteur, teaching high school, and living through a time the rest of us can only read about.

Mr. Keyes invites you to stop by his house at 3459 Rockway Avenue to pick up your copy of the book for only $20. But do call first (410-263-5837) as he may be out substituting at a local high school, teaching kids about art, history, or most importantly, life.
