YARD SALE 2010
On the beach on Magnolia, between Narragansett and Cohassett, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Your Officers and Board have organized a multifamily neighborhood yard sale for Saturday, October 2, to be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the beach along Magnolia Avenue between Narragansett and Cohasset Avenues.
Get there early to grab a prime spot (actually, our beach is all prime); bring a table, bring a chair, bring an umbrella if you like; mostly bring all that stuff that you've been meaning to get rid of but just didn‟t have the heart to simply throw away. If you thought your stuff's too darn good to toss, you still might be able to use a few bucks for it from some other neighbor -- or even a visitor (we took an ad out in The Capital and other media).
So please join us (rain or shine) for yet another community get-together, brought to you by the same bunch of nuts that did the other beach parties. But this one has no food (unless you bring it), no booze, and no music (unless your cash-register can sing). Don't miss this opportunity to help you clean out those closets, drawers, garages, and basements (does anyone have a basement?).
You can choose to pile whatever doesn't sell into Roy's truck for delivery to our neighborhood Goodwill or Salvation Army; but we also plan to have a smallish dumpster on hand to help you part with true trash. Remember Einstein‟s second law of relativity, that “...house junk is neither created nor destroyed, it simply changes location.” That's Harry Einstein; he ran a bagel shop down the block in Brooklyn.
